Here is an honest and personal update of all the things we’ve tried (so far) to get pregnant.
The first list is what we tried before seeing a fertility specialist.

It’s not to say that any of these things were right or wrong, but it just makes you realise how much you’ll try anything (readily available) to get pregnant, and most women (like me) want to maintain a sense of control, and keep it to themselves for a long time.

Trypanophobia is an extreme fear of medical procedures involving injections or hypodermic needles.

First, let me start by explaining the phobia, how it makes me feel and what would typically happen if someone didn’t take me seriously when I told them.

If you don’t have that song stuck in your head now, you mustn’t be obsessed with TikTok like I am. That’s fine. Seriously.

Let’s talk about size consistency.

As a fashion designer, I’m acutely aware of how much inconsistency there is in sizing between brands.

Our first Winter living in New York/Brooklyn is nearly coming to an end. I feel like I could be jinxing myself by even saying that, but it’s the 21st of February as I begin this post and one of the few days of the month it’s been -5*C in the morning.

Every single day, from the moment I wake, until I shut my eyes after scheduling the next day’s alarms at 10-minute intervals, all I do is make decisions.

I met Mo working in the LA fashion industry in 2016. We’d just relocated the company there from Sydney and were based out of WeWork on 7th Ave in Downtown LA. We ended up working together for a little while, which was hectic but super fun.

It’s tricky to find someone who does “fun colours” with the same skill as “natural colours”, uses great products, is a true artist, looks after your hair and is a lovely person - this matters so much when you spend 5-8 hours on average in the chair!

I met Laureen through work, when she was brought on as Merchandizer for Fame and Partners, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge about buying, range planning and the commercial side of fashion.

I met Trisha in a pretty funny way. We were both in Newark Liberty Airport, waiting for a flight back to LAX, which was continually delayed - on the hour, every hour - eventually postponed until morning.

Throughout quarantine I have thought a lot about the people around me, and those far away. People who have had adventurous lives, careers and side hustles, but perhaps no one quite realises what they do or how they did it.

How can anyone launch a brand in 2021 that’s limited sizes, doesn’t mention their ethos on the website, and expect customers to take a gamble on their $300 polyester slip dress capped at a small size AU12? How can anyone still think this is OK and applaud them at shows and in reviews?

She stared at her clone for a full thirty seconds before Mae opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out.
